The EasyPak Standard
Founded in 2004, EasyPak leads the way in supplying thermoformed packaging products to a diverse set of companies. Our many years of creating and producing containers provide us with the experience needed, and we’ve added facilities across the country in recent years that expand our nationwide reach even more.
Available Shapes in Packaging
Different shapes of EasyPak containers work better for different purposes, and our helpful staff can provide guidance in determining which container is right for your product and company.
Round packages maximize the holding capacity inside the container, and square or rectangle containers maximize shelf space. Different shapes also provide different aesthetic impressions, and you should also take branding and customization options under consideration.
Our dedication to producing the best quality containers, lids, and trays with affordability and friendliness is well-known. We’re always willing to walk you through the advantages and disadvantages of the various shapes and sizes available in our catalog or through customization.
Composition of Packaging
The performance of your container purchase will depend greatly on its composition. EasyPak offers various materials to resolve different demands. Our specialists can help demonstrate the best material whether you need conventional polymers or eco-friendly options like FDA PCR-APET (post-consumer recycled APET).
PET or PETE – Polyethylene Terephthalate
Polyethylene Terephthalate is transparent, lightweight, and durable and is quickly becoming the standard for packaging of food-grade goods. We use special grades of this material for carryout containers, lids, and trays. These trays and containers are safe for microwave reheating. PET has the approval of the FDA and worldwide health-safety organizations worldwide. Environmental impacts are minimal since this material is energy efficient and entirely recyclable.
APET – Amorphous Polyethylene Terephtalate
This material is durable, flexible, and leak-resistant. An anti-fog coating is available to protect from fogginess in cold deli coolers. Uses for this material are many; it’s appropriate for packaging of cakes, pies, sandwiches, salads, vegetables, fruits, and other deli or bakery goods.
HDPE – High-Density Polyethylene
HDPE is a very common plastic material and composes all sorts of bottles and containers. This material is often translucent and contains foods that expire quickly. The high tensile strength and recyclability makes it an excellent choice for trays and clamshell packaging.
PP – Polypropylene
Polypropylene is a remarkable material that provides strength and the capacity to hold hot materials safely. It’s recyclable and suitable for a variety of foods from deli meals to soup and more.
HIPS – High-Impact Polystyrene
Affordable and rigid, HIPS works well to hold baked goods, deli, and food service orders. The product is safe for food storage and is tough enough for transport after purchase. You won’t have to worry about the tray’s ability to hold up to weight or impact.
